The G1 Filly Club

Afak;ljda;fjj%(&!! My Little Pony Micro Series #8 (Celestia) contains a flashback to...early G1 times! Here's my illustration of this lil' group of filly friends, using the designs from the comic. (Are these comics canon? I sure hope so!! ^_^)

Left to right: Firefly, Glory, Surprise, Bowtie, Sky Dancer. Yes, I proudly own a G1 toy of each one of these ponies.

Sky Dancer's cutie mark would be a flock of birds in outline. But, maybe he doesn't have his yet anyway! Yes, I say "he" because he is drawn to look like a boy in the comic. And, oddly enough, this accords with an existing fanon of sorts. I recall a G1 fansite that was influential on me as a kid. The site owner characterized in great detail the personalities she'd ascribed to three particular ponies that she'd played with the most as a child. Sky Dancer, in spite of the female toy mold, was always male in her adventures with the ponies, and I became of the same opinion.

Wow. What a trip! (I wonder why Gusty is an adult (seen earlier in the same flashback) while the others are fillies.)
